A few days ago I went up north to Iasi for a long weekend. One of the highlights was the Anastasie Fătu Botanical Garden, the oldest and largest in Romania. I didn’t have time to visit the glasshouses but I did get to spend an hour and a half visiting the grounds, enjoying the wildflowers, herbs, lilac blossoms, and chestnut blossoms, and several trees and shrubs I knew by name but not by sight.
